WASPI DocumentationAccordThe Accord is the first element of the WASPI framework outlining a common set of principles and standards which govern the activity of information sharing. It defines the commitments required by each organisation to enable the sharing of personal information. The declaration is the signatory form for organisations to declare their agreement to support the adoption, dissemination, implementation, monitoring and review of the Accord. This should be signed by the Chief Executive or Chief Officer. Once completed and signed, please forward the Declaration of Acceptance and Participation to the WASPI Support Team. The checklist may be used to assess an organisations level of readiness, and identify gaps which organisations may need to fulfil, in order to meet their commitments under the WASPI framework. Not all of the requirements of the checklist need to be met prior to signing up to the Accord. Information Sharing Protocols (ISPs)Following the revision and subsequent update of the WASPI documentation, Version 4 has now been agreed. The Welsh Government are working towards publication of the documentation, it is hoped this will be completed shortly. In the interim if you looking at starting an ISP development and require copies of the updated ‘Information Sharing Protocol Templates’ and associated ‘Guidance on the development of an Information Sharing Protocol’ please contact the WASPI Support Team who will be happy to provide them, until they are formally published. The checklist provides an outline summary of the steps to be taken when developing an ISP using the WASPI framework. The declaration is to be signed by the senior responsible manager to confirm that their partner organisation has approved the specific ISP. Details of ISPs currently in development and those which have been assured are also available on this website. Further information and guidance on the use of the WASPI framework, including assistance on developing ISPs, is available through the WASPI Support Team.
